Separating windows explorer and internet explorer

In earlier version of Internet explorer you could launch internet explorer in it's own process. This changed since 5.01, it now requires you have more than 32 megs of ram and then it's suppose to do it automatically. The problem is I have 256megs but it isnt launching in it's own process. I really need Internet explorer to launch on it's own, it would solve alot of problems. Anybody know how I can fix it ?????

visit http://www.98lite.net you can download several things there. I run 98 lite at home and its great. The best way to use IE in my opinion is to download IEradicator and remove it from windows and then do a clean re-install so its hooks arent dug as deep.

Do you have Active Desktop enabled? Disabling that might separate IE & Explorer.
