A bought a 3Com ISA 10/100mbit NIC a while back for college, but now that I'm here, I've had the WORST getting this thing set up. The drivers are only for Win95 and after crashing my computer a hundred times, I realized it only will use a 16-bit driver. Ahhhh! I am getting about a 14kbps connection while everyone else around me is seeing 100kbps downloads. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Will someone sell me a NIC you don't need? I'll be more than happy to through in the one I'm using now and a Diamond 112k modem for your trouble.

gradius, if the others didn't work out, I have two brand new Kingston KNE-100TX PCI 10/100 BTX-MBPS NETWORK CARD 32-BIT, AUTO-CONFIGURABLE, FAST ETHERNET ADAPTERs. They are in plastic packaging (oem style) and I've copied the drivers onto a couple of floppies. Would make a trade or take $45 for the pair (shipped to lower 48).

A got a good deal pending on a 3Com 3C905b PCI NIC. I'll let you know if it falls through. If not, I've love to get a Kingston card from you.

thanks everyone
