Bill

Are you using the caddies to transfer only DATA? if so then doesnt matter what brand...Just set your BIOS to AUTO detect the harddrives. If you are wanting to "share"(use)a harddrive with a OS on it then BOTH computers need to have the same HARDWARE such as Mobo, NIC's Modems ect or you will have nothing but headaches when you move the drive from one computer to the other...due to hardware conflicts!!..

Any brand or size will work, have been using these for a long time now, they're great. If your caddy tray does not have fan, try to stick w. cool running drives, there's no airflow w/o the fan.

I've installed hd caddies and i have WD HD in one of the cadies and I need to buy another HD for the other. Do I need to stay with the same brand of HD, Or can I go with any other brand?
Thank for any help on this.

Get whatever you like. Make sure to go to Setup each time for drive recognition, or leave Setup configured for Auto detection.
