um.. a new 12.9 gig samsung (not as good as maxtor) is 107.00 + shipping on pricewatch this is a 12.6 gig and it still has a warranty on it + it's only used about 3 weeks. How about 75.00 Shipped?

Doesn't maxtor replace their warranty claims with refurbished models? I know Quantum and Western Digital do..

Maxtor SUX! They are the worst brand out there as far as I am concerned, slow and unreliable is the story with them all the way back to sparquest, and up to their 40gb models, just an opinion based on reserch and facts and experience.

thanks **deleted** (oops i mean killerbug) for maybe making me not be able to sell me hard drive. i'm only 16 and it's not like a have a wad load of ca$h!!!!!!!!!!!!

stooge007: No Name Calling. And, auction-style bidding is against SysOpt policy, so in the future don't ask or solicit for offers. Post a price when you want to sell something.

You can check, for example, SysOpt's Price Guide (http://ibuyer.sysopt.com/) and/or www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) for an estimate and adjust your figure/s accordingly, and go from there. Thanks. -Socalgal

I have a maxtor 20.5 gig 7200 rpm and I like it very much. My other drives are western digital, but so far the maxter has been more reliable with data loss and actually runs a tad cooler to the touch than the WD's (and it is my c drive, not my storage driveS)
Don't let KB's post discourage you other buyers. These drives are good

Hey killerbug, when someone asks for your opinion, you give it to them. Did he ask you for it? Hmmm, I think not! It's douche bags like you who have to bring people down for their insecurity.

If this is still available, I'd be interested in buying it for 70 shipped. Let me know. BTW - Do you have the specs on this thing? 5400 or 7200? ATA-33 or ATA-66?
