The US doesn't want to go to metric because they're just too egocentric, and they think that the world should revolve around them. And in case you're wondering, I am in fact from the US - I see this stuff. Too many people seem to think that everything will change - distances will change, things will weigh different amounts. Many are too stupid to realize that it's just a system, and a darn good one at that, to measure things. Ok, enough rambling about that...

Dope

2.54cm = 1 inch.
Metric is the way to go, it's far easier because it's all based on multiples of 10.
10mm=1cm, 100cm=1Metre 1000Metres=1Kilometre
The old system sure isnt that easy!

Canada went metric many years ago, we got used to it and most are glad we did it.
But some things never change, a lb. of nails is still sold as that and I can't relate to someone's height to cm's.
