I just downloaded and began using it today. I'm listening to some tres cool musique on a Paris station as I type this. I'm running with an Intel P3 600, 128 MB SDRAM and about 46000 BPS telephone modem connection and Ive had not a skip when I change pages, websites, etc. What are you running by way of hardware?

I still thing wmp6.4 playback still is better then wmp7. Some of the *.asf file you can not forward. this is not a problem for wmp6.4. Although the look and feel is much better w/wmp7.

I don't know about you guys and gals but I like to keep everything simple..and well mp7 just has all that extra junk on it a-la real player. Just let me hear my song without showing me links to stuff http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't like wmp7. I like my media players nice and simple.

Does anyone know where I can download the previous version - wmp6.4?

how much ram you got and what other program you have running in the background? close some of those programs out. personally i think media 7 is really slow.

You can get WMP 6.4 here:
Media Player (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/en/download/default.asp)
There is a selection for that version in the first drop-down box.

Edit- My first link made the page go real wide, sorry. -edit
