Hey by the way if your looking for older computers try your local University or any large college. Seeing as how most of their old comps go to Auction for sale.

You may be able to get some hardware donated to you from them. Especially since its for a good cause and a possible write off.

Ok, I have been vauge about it, since it hasen't opened yet.

That's right, it hasen't opened it's doors yet. I just talked to the director on a trip, and said that I would get some hardware.

I've never done this before so I don't really know what to do. (just 15) I'm not the right person to ask questions to, but I volenteered my time and efforts to this, and want them to have a comp lab WHEN IT OPENS. Not after, or later.

You assume to much. But I can understand you. "A person comes in, without any sort of links/info, and asks for donations." Bad things can happen on the Internet, but me taking your stuff isn't one of them. But I know this won't help. You won't belive me anyway. *sigh* If it helps any, I didn't post over a thousand times just to get a free 486. It's not worth it. What would I do with a bunch of 486's anyway?

wasnt this the same thing you posted in the other forum? Cant you give a phone number to the director you spoke to and continue to speak to? whats the directors name?

...and I find it interesting that none of the other clubs near it have any knowledge of a new one going up , or of this program being run.

falconplatinum took my words directly from my LMSS project post and used them to try to get people to send him hardware. I am not sure about his motives. Ars seems to think it is a scam. Keep an eye out for this guy...

I must say that the people here and at my work have been so great that I may have more stuff than I can use. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I do still need old cd-roms and sound cards with cd-rom connections on them though.
