JaYSin Petros 07-21-2000, 10:00 AM I don't know the kbps, but I use Nero for burning and it works real nice. linux_guru 07-21-2000, 09:43 PM Yep, Nero is the way to go. I burn a lot of music CD's, & Nero has never let me down yet. Jeff7 07-21-2000, 10:10 PM I'd think that it's around 172KB/sec - that's the bytes/sec rate of CD-quality WAVs. However, I think that CDs are played at 1x speed. And the CD-creation software I have lists that as being 150KB/sec. Heck, just did the math - 74 minutes of music=4440 seconds. Given that a CD will hold around 650MB, or 4440 seconds of music, that comes out to around 149.69KB/sec. So, skip what I said earlier. Audio CDs are read at 150KB/sec. bomac58 07-22-2000, 04:11 AM Jeff7 got it right and Nero is the the best it copies on the fly so you don't have to copy to your hard drive. It has a wizard but you have to do a little on your own but it is a easy program to run. SysOpt.com
