Windows media player 7

I am runing win 98se IE 5.5 Windows media player 7 When I try to load a film clip that uses media player I get a download prompt and then the open this program with this dialog box. It used to just load and run automatically. I also made the problem worse by forgetting to uncheck the box that says always open with this and now it opens with the wrong program and I don't know how to fix that problem ether. Help

I had the same problem with some Acura movie clips. For some reason, media player doesn't want to show them. So I downloaded Quicktime player http://www.quicktime.com
and it works great!

Thank you for the return but do you know how to reset that one type of clip so it dosn't open with the wrong program that I set by mistake. Not the last part of my problem.

Hi JR~

Find the file in Explorer and right click on the file while holding the Shift key. Then use the Open With... command.

In the Open With... box, choose the program you wish to have open that file, and check "Always use this program to open..."

This will associate all files with that same extension to open with the program you choose.
