125$ Shipped,
IBM performance and quality...................alomost 3 more years under warrenty..............like new,no bad sectors./

What more can I say except that this is an IBM deskstar 7200 rpm line, yea I know you can get a maxtor for about the same price,or even another cheap 7200 rpm HDD,but the fact is that IBM makes the best IDE HDD's(you may disagree, but many will not),they are always the first to break ground in HDD technology, and have one of the best customer service records in the HDD industry, they are even known to "cross ship" on HDD replacement(not like you will ever have to use it(unlike(I had to wait a very long time to RMA a maxtor)and others where you have to wait a while to get a new one).

This is a very quit, well made HDD,and it stays very very cool,in fact it is probally the coolest 7200rpm IDE HDD around.....mildly warm to the touch when working hard.

I am getting a Bigger IBM that is the only reason I am selling period.

Fixed statements !!!!

First off you are incorrect about the Maxtor statement! I know this is a fact since I had an RMA with Maxtor. So please only state a fact when you rag another company or state it is only an opinion and not a fact.

Second the link does not work.

Third I will buy it.I can have the funds out Wendsday.

Hey it is yours Jad.....I just did check the link,it does not work sorry hehe.

As far as the maxtor thing goes I had lots of trouble RMAing one with them, plus storage review has alot of negative things to say about maxtors customer service........that is the only reason I said it.........IBM is known to actually cross ship !!!
Anyways, all of that is besides the point right?

So I mailed you right back Jad check it!

Didnt IBM license the design to Maxtor and they are now identical drives?
(just curious)

EDIT---> purchased a 15g-7200 yesterday at CompUSA for 129$

IN No way is the maxtor exactly like a deskstar,I do believe they have licensed a part of the technology to maxtor,IBM has licensed the technology to western digital, and WD has put the technology into thier top of the line HDDs.......the expert...............not the caviar as many seem to think. Go to www.storagereview.com (http://www.storagereview.com) and browse around and read some of thier reviews on maxtor, western digital caviar western digital expert, and IBM deskstar.

I think maybe that maxtor uses more of IBMs HDD tech in thier larger newest offerings.

I've got a matched pair of these IGM 14.4s and I'm gonna put them on an IDE Raid setup this weekend.... SMOKIN!

Great drives- quiet, tolerant of high bus speeds, and very dependable.

Ok no problem. I really don't need it anyway. I was just going to use it t set up another box so I could play with a network.
