I have a mac 17" monitor and would like to use it on my new pc. On the mac side, it is 15 pins in two rows. On the pc, it is 15 pins in three rows. Today I went and purchased an adapter that converts two rows of 15 into three rows of 15, the only problem is that the adapter is wrong gendered on both ends. In other words I can't plug anything into it. Now I need adapters for my adapter! Can anyone offer me a ray of hope in this frustrating situation????

This may take some time for you to find. The term you are looking for is "Gender Changer" or perhaps adaptor, I forget, several online stores have them. i.e. www.globalcomputers.com (http://www.globalcomputers.com) , www.warehouse.com (http://www.warehouse.com) www.datavision.com (http://www.datavision.com) www.electrified.com (http://www.electrified.com) www.cambridgecomputers.com (http://www.cambridgecomputers.com) etc. some of these are from memory and I may have messed up the links.. don't forget the local Mom and Pop stores. lotsa luck, DrVette

Thank you, both of you! I appreciate your helpful advice very much. I'll look into getting that "gender switcher/adapter" as soon as I can. You guys are awesome!
