Wow!

Now CL will be competing with nvidia.
I wonder if it will effect the graphics blaster video card line, since obviously the CL SB-Live will place CL in a position of conflict with nvidia products.

Well this looks like some good news for A3D fans. I read this on another forum http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif. http://investor.search.com/search?target1=/search?mid=1%26backtopage=0%26cat=107%26q=AURL&target2=357.mboard/boards.cgi?board=AURL%26read=856

Ohh Yeah! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif... I was hoping that S3 (Diamond Multimedia) would buy them. But hey, as long as they are back in buisness, it's all good. I have a MX300 sound card that I love very much, and now developers can continue to support A3D in games...

I agree, it's a good thing.
One single company in the field isn't good.
Hopefully nVidea can bring about some innovation and marketing hype.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get combined sound/video solutions for example...

Usually a single company isn't good, but back in the days of SB pro and SB16, creative WAS the only card maker(of decent cards anyway). Creative sound cards are superior to Aureal IMHO, better sound quality and more importantly, better support.
