Does anyone know how to get a hold of him? His user name is JIS on anand and JCP on AGN. I bought a system from him last week. I sent him a money order and he was supposed to send me the system. He told me he would send me tracking info, but I never got it and now his email doesn't work. I am not saying he ripped me off yet. We were only supposed to ship on tuesday. I really don't expect system until next week if he sent it. I am just getting worried because he didn't send tracking info and his email address no longer works. I am hoping maybe he will see this and contact me or that someone knows how to get in touch with him so I can know whats going on.

> "Jason Panek" / "JIS" on anandtech / "JCP" on AGN

Found three email addresses related to Jason Panek. These links will
take you to the pages where they're located.

panek@lenzlink.net (http://anandforums.gisystech.com/tombstone.cfm?ProfileID=7853&catid=45&threadid=107216)
ritko@lenzlink.net (http://anandforums.gisystech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=45&threadid=107216)
kpanek@email.com (http://anandforums.gisystech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=45&threadid=107216)

Since two of these were on lenzlink.net, did a whois (http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?STRING=lenzlink.net&STRING2=search) on it and found this
info (note the City, ST and area codes):

* *Registrant:
* *Hamilton Services (LENZLINK2-DOM)
* ** *135 Catskill Lane
* ** *Johnstown, PA 15904
* ** *US
* *Domain Name: LENZLINK.NET
* *Administrative Contact:
* ** *Hamilton, Paul* *(PH3840)* *hamilton@HAMILTONSERVICES.NET
* ** *724-437-8993 (FAX) 724-437-8994
* *Technical Contact, Zone Contact:
* ** *Systems Administrator* *(SA766-ORG)* *sysadmin@PAGENCY.COM
* ** *814-536-2977 Fax- 814-536-5415
* *Billing Contact:
* ** *Domain Billing* *(DB341-ORG)* *billing@PAGENCY.COM
* ** *814-536-2977 Fax- 814-536-5415

Next did an Altavista "host:lenzlink.net" search (http://www.altavista.com/cgi-bin/query?sc=on&q=host%3Alenzlink.net&kl=XX&pg=q) and found their dialup
numbers page (http://www.lenzlink.net/dial-ups.html). When I saw they only covered the 724 and 814 area codes
figured it must be a pretty small ISP and Jason must be close by.

And, since "Jason Panek" is not a real common name, decided to just go
ahead and simply try an AnyWho search (http://www.anywho.com) using only what was known so far
(First name: Jason, Last name: Paneks, State: PA). Sure enough, got a
hit (http://www.anywho.com/cgi-bin/htwpq?first=jason&first.st=*&name=panek&name.st=+&street=&street.st=*&cityzip=&cityzip.st=*&state=PA&help=1), and only one. This doesn't necessarily mean it's the right Jason
Panek of course but, FWIW (for whatever it's worth), here's the info:

* *Panek, Jason
**** Addres and Phone # deleted*****

Just for grins, went to MapQuest (http://www.mapquest.com) and looked up both addresses, Jason's
and lenzlink.com's, and sure enough they're not but about 6 miles apart.

Sure hope all this proves helpful and, Good Luck!

Wow, I am impressed with all the info you found Vernon. Thanks a lot. I did some searching and found the address at email com. I sent him messages yesterday at that address and he responded this morning. He said that his isp, lenzlink, had messed up his email account. He said that the package was on its way and that he would get me the tracking info when he gets home from work. I guess I was just getting worried over nothing, but you get paranoid when hundreds of dollars are at stake.

I am also impressed. But I think YOu should have e-mailed it to bdog instead of posting it. Since He has contacted him maybe you should edit your post and remove this guys address and stuff.
This is exactly why most people do not use real names and use web based e-mail accounts.

GB- That is your second crack on the admin. What's up? I think you should watch it before all you can do is watch...

Besides, what the Admin. intervened about was not even about the deal nor the problem itself...It was a PRIVACY issue so I dont know where you came off making your "statement/attack" there GB, which I'm sure everyone will agree, was totally uncalled for...There are other sites out there you can and should go to if you want "flame wars" or to involve yourself with insults and general stirring of trouble....

we will give gb another chance to cool it on cracking on the admin. if he still continues on it, then i figure that scott can take care of the issue himself.

gb...
please desist on make cracks about our admin. we all like our admins very much, and they do a great job at making this board...well, great. please show some respect. thanks.

Well if you can do a whois and find out enough information to drive to the guys house, I do not know of a "privacy issue". Whois can be done by anyone. Now I would not like my address put up on a web page, but if you have your own web domain/ip address, then this information is perfectly legal to find. If not, then you can do it by looking at numerous sites on the web. Key here is, dont use your real information if you dont want people to see it. There is nothing illegal about finding peoples information online with the help of tools like anywho or four11, because it is the users fault for providing this information in the first place. Just my honest opinion. Hard lesson learned though, I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. Still my fault.
