I knew cheap would catch yer eye.
Okay, if you are just now reading this post, I removed all my previous statements regarding the motherboard. I set it up last night with just one 128 MB sdram module (and, of course, removed my bad 32 mb one) and the board worked fine. installed and booted into windows. Ran all night as a proxy server.
The board is still for sale--its like new, only 6 months or so old, bios has been updated 2 or 3 times, only ran over clocked @112 mhz for a week or so.
I need to sell it to make up for the Dual BX board I got to replace it.

Did you recently flash it by chance????
Did you load setup defaults in each section of your bios???????
I had a usb problem with my ABIT once and I had to load setup defaults after being like huh for awhile, anyways that helped much for me.

I didnt flash the bios, and I did restore the default settings (by moving the jumper over to clear it).

Well, this is interesting. One of the machiens I was having problems with this weekend (yes one of..had three bad times) had a bad 32mb pc100 acer memory stick. Had a freind at best buy test it out on thier machine. I didn't notice this until I brought it to my office and tried to use it in a machine here...and I was getting similar errors on it that I got on the abit...so maybe there is hope yet. I already ordered and paid for (overnight shipping) my dual PII bx Epox board tho..so I will still probably sell or trade this one. Will keep you posted.

Well, I got good news and bad news. good news--board is NOT fried! not even close! (whatta champ!). I had a bad DIMM. Some acer memory from tigerdirect.com went bad. Guess, I never completely swapped it out. But i just installed windows just fine w/o a hitch with my 128 meg sdram and 6 gig harddrive...working like a charm. STILL for sale. takin offers. only 6 months old. will repost later if I dont hear anything...or maybe suck it up and sell on ebay 8(
