My computer Is getting really bad benchmarks under Sisoft Sandra for just about everything except for my Hard drive, which does exceptionally well.

I have a
Athlon slot A 700mhz
ASUS K7M
128 MB PC133 SDRAM running at 100mhz(cuz of my **** mobo)
Velocity 100 running with the latest voodoo3 drivers

I have the Millenium edition of Sandra, and My benchmarks for everything but the hard drive are less than half of the slowest thing for each benchmark.

What I wanna know is Why, and what can I do to make my system run better?

I don't know...i really wonder if it is your PC. Could be some kind of imcompatability with yer mobo and sandra. i had a similar problem with my PII400 on my dual BX EpOX motherboard. now, I have an athlon 750 in an abit KA7-100 mobo and i get great benchmarks. My 400 rated below a celeron 366. Maybe you could try some other benchmarking software?

Do you have any conflicts in device mgr? I think I have seen something like this before, I will let you know what i find.

Do you have a ton of programs running in your taskbar? If you have tons of programs open and running it could tie up your RAM and your CPU.

I closed all programs, even Instant Messenger.
I have no device conflicts, at least according to Device Manager.

I also tried another benchmarking program, called PassMark Performance test, and I got good scores on the 3d and 2d Graphics, But horrible scores for memory, math and MMX instructions.

Just a shot in the dark here....
Are you comparing your system benchmarks with systems that have 133MHz FSB?? If so, that is why.
You can improve performance considerably by decreasing the Memory CAS latency in the BIOS to its lowest setting (2 mes thinks), if it is not allready. The RAM should be stable @100MHz w/ CAS2 setting since its PC133.
Good Luck!

I updated my BIOS, and made sure my DRAM timing was enabled, and CAS latency was at 2 cycles.

Now Im doing good on the benchmarks! thanks a lot!

Whoah! My computers goin a lot faster too! im getting average 100 fps on UT 800*600*16 with all settings on high!

SWEET!!
