flash... help. rar.

I've been trying to teach myself Macromedia Flash, and it's driving me insane. Their stupid little lessons really drove me nuts. Even though I -think- I'm following directions correctly, I can't make it do what it's supposed to. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips?

You won't learn Flash in an hour...

Trust me - I know it.

Flash is something that takes time and effort to learn.

Most flash know-it-alls highly reccomend reading the tutorial. But, if that doesn't work for you.

I guess I'm just used to saying that, because most people figure they can read over the tutorial quickly and know everything there is to know about Flash.

Most people also don't like it, because they have no idea what any of the commonly used terms mean.

BTW - I'm not sure if your the same way, but I fool around with programs until I have them mastered.

I know I can not learn things in an hour, but I'm having trouble just doing the basics of starting out on this one. I can't even get the triangle to jump over the circle! I'm the type to teach myself everything and fool with things almost every day until they are mastered. I guess all I can do is keep trying? Maybe I'll have to try the tutorials about 5000 times or something. heh

Have you tried Abobe LiveMotion (http://www.adobe.com/products/livemotion/main.html)? I found it to be much easier to learn than Flash.

hehe.., yeah.. I know that there are a few tutorials out there you could search for.

I'd also look at individual tutorials they have..
