OP installation question?

what is the command when you first installing a new OP like win9x, that can skip particular hardware, which ever i want to assign? or is there a such a thing?

cause the problem is, after i finished installing win98 and when it come times to check pnp detection, it just freeze. I try installing win95 with php detection and it works fine. I also took out my computer a part and put it back together, but still when i install win98, it continously to freeze when it checks for pnp and nonpnp hardware.

can anyone help me please.

What all hardware is in the machine? Try pulling everything but video, install 98, then add cards. Also seen this with Promise ATA66 cards.

Take a look at Microsoft's knowledgebase for a list of setup switches that allow you to skip detection of devices. Just go to the knowlegebase under the support menu on ms's site and search for setup switches.
