I would like to tell of a good trade...
I have only traded here twice and was skeptical because of the ongoing saga here between these two guys. I recently traded for a USB Zip and would like to say that everything went very well and very fast. I traded with *bdog* and would recommend traing with him to anyone. Good experience!

Thanks for the reference, daveleau.
I think it's a good idea (providing the other party doesn't mind) to post good references on done deals. In so doing, we have a base of reliable and trustworthy people from which we can draw.

Here's a thought, how about a Trader's Rating forum or something similar so that when people trade they could post the good and the bad of deal. Elite Hardware has one and I think it's a great idea. I recently did a deal with Succubis, who by the way had 14 postings to his trader worthiness and not one negative response. The trade went flawless and I was able to see beforehand how he traded with others. Just my 2 pennies...

I'm with blade_146 on this, let's have a forum that serves as sort of a reference on how the members here do business with each other. Although most of the members here are no doubt trustworthy and honest, it only takes one or two bad apples to ruin what would otherwise be a good thing for the rest of us. I have personally held off on buying several items that I've seen posted here, simply because I didn't know the individual's reliability.
I think that it would be to everyone's benefit...
I too would like to let you all know of the good trading experience I just had with DaveLeau. He delivered everything as promised and in a very timely manner. I have also had good trading experiences with Killerbug. I would not hesistate to do business with either one of them.

I have to agree with Kevin and Lost1 - I am all for the addition of a trader ratings forum! I have only made one trade, with Lyle Schilkes and it went very smoothly, but I must say that I have hesitated when wanting to make a trade because there's no easy way to make an educated guess as to whether or not the other person is worth trusting. I don't feel that there's a lot of people out there just waiting to scam you out of your cash, but there's bound to be someone out there in the crowd waiting for an unsuspecting trader. A trader ratings forum would be a helpful addition to all of us who want to buy/sell/trade in some confidence.

i would be VERY happy if this turned into such a forum. We should be able to keep atats like that. it would definitely set SYSOPT apart. How about it moderators? I think it would really help us all avoid the Chad174's out there (sorry Chad if everything is really on the up & up).
Socalgal-what do you think?

Just completed transaction with bdog. Everything on time and in perfect condition. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
I would like to put in a good word for Zootman and Bighammer. I just had really good deals with them as well. I have had nothing but good experiences trading with members of Sysopt. It is good to know that there is a good bunch of honorable people out there.

Such a data base of trader ratings exists already over at http://heatware.elitehardware.com/ and SysOpt is included. This is a very good site and is well maintained. It is supported by AGN, Anand's, HostClub, Hardware Central, and now possibly SysOpt memberships. A central database such as Heat's is more useful to most traders in that many of us hit every major trading board looking for good deals or to sell something.
My suggestion is to use his site. I'm sure SysOpt won't mind as the database is already there and SysOpt gets considerable traffic as it is. Aside from the effort which would be required to set up and maintain a usable database.
Most of the rated traders on Heatware are rated highly and this is mainly because MOST traders ARE honest. /forum/smile.gif

That's absolutely correct Underclocked. /forum/smile.gif
Due to the interest the Members expressed about references, Scott promptly got SysOpt listed at Elite (http://heatware.elitehardware.com/)
So although there's no problem posting good references here that I can see (except that the posts would fade away after awhile) it would be a good idea to go to EliteHardware and start generating a DB from there also. /forum/smile.gif
