Whats the deal with Maxtor hard drive prices? I used to get reseller info for Maxtor, WD, AMD, and Intel ( I think ) but I havent in a while. I know the smaller drives are near rock bottom, but the big 60 gb has gone up in price with a couple dealers, and down with a couple others. The only reason I'm asking, is my Cel II 566 was $150 when I bought it, and less than 2 weeks later, it was sub-$100. I cried. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Not that cheap, maybe the 466-533mhz but
not 566
still see it for 126
Win, the low price for the 566 is $91. BTW, please, please please, stop hitting enter everytime you finish a sentence. Use periods and hit space twice. Its soooo much ewasier to read.
On the subject of hard drives, maxtor is pretty darn cheap, and you get what you pay for. The lo price for the 60gb is $233, but its only 5400rpm, yuck.

Wiz-
I've thought about that alot, and imho throwing a Promise 66 card in my puter and hitting UDMA 66 will make up for the crappy rpm's. I don't mind a 5400 as long as I have a lot of room to download. I filled a 10gb in about a week and half, so I need space! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
