Here at good old Purdue University. All MS software is a mere $5. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif But only for students.

Yeah, but you can only get win2k pro upgrade at Purdue. They don't sell the full version. I'm getting Office XP there shortly at the Union, and I can only hope they sell windows XP Pro in full version.

That really helps me guys. Thanks ever so much. Problem solved. All I have to do is digress back to the less mature years, and go to Purdue. (Why didn't I think of that?)

Actually is is labeled upgrade, but with a valid previous windows CD, it will perform a full clean install. I know only because i have done it...just some info.

$5 for MS software at Purdue? Wow... I"ve never heard of any such thing here at MSU, but I'll check into it.

Hey,krohnjw, do you go to go to Purdue? If so do you think you can get me some of those great deals? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Justin, Unless you are attending school that would be illegal as those copies of MS software are academic versions only.

It's actually a full retail version. They got some deal with every company out there. Intel gives them free pcs all the time for labs. Then they cut them deals on job fairs. You know. One hand washes the other. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I go to Purdue also.
