FCPGA is an acronym for Flip Chip Pin Grid Array and PPGA is an acronym for Plastic Pin Grid Array.
Thanks to Gurunet, all I had to do to find this was select the terms and hit alt-click.
Now that the L2 cache is on-die, the Slot 1 "cartridge" approach is going away.
The "Flip Chip" inverts the chip so better cooling can be achieved.
Consider getting a FCPGA with slotket adaptor. Your next mobo will be Socket 370.
Coppermines are great overclockers. They're all designed around 1GHz architecture. The 100MHz versions have higher multipliers and usually work in the 133 world and beyond. I have a 650E that is solid at 144/939 and handles 155/1007 for a while. The reason for freeze-up could just as well be the BX chipset or SDRAM at that speed.
