I found this company off of www.Pricewatch.com. (http://www.Pricewatch.com.) It's a D-Link KVM Switch for $49.00 + shipping. The company is House of Computers. I have no idea if they are a good company or not. http://store.yahoo.com/hoct12/dlinkvmswit2.html

That's funny. Price Watch lists the lowest price as $43. Even avoiding CA where I have to pay tax it's less than your price for the first out of state seller.

OR http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=409641&prsrt=1&ut=180751c417b03181

will show you some other prices that are nearer $43.

I like pricegrabber as it let's you put in ZIP code and then estimates price with/without tax as applicable.

Newegg and Computergate have the 4 port for around $20, I just bought 1 for P/S2 and 1 AT model. They also sell cable kits for them, you could get a 2 port with cables for less than $40.

WEDOR: What the difference between a KVM switch and an ABCD 4 Way Switch Box for PS/2 Keyboard, PS/2 Mouse and 15 Pin VGA Monitor? They have both listed at House of Computers but I wasn't for sure what the second item was...

Sorry for the delay, been busy. As far as I know, KVM= Keyboard, Video, Mouse, so KVM=ABCD switch. You can buy fancier versions, but for most people the basic models work great. I repair and build PC's so it is a useful tool for me, that is why I have both the AT and P/S 2 4 port models, I picked up a couple of 5 foot and 9 foot cable sets to connect whatever I am working on to the KVM switcher.

Hey Wedor,

KVM Question! Do most KVM's have some feature that 'signals' the disconnected PC about the keyboard/mouse being attached. The reason I ask is that I bought a cheap A/B box only to find out frequently that switching to PC 'B' causes PC 'A' to think that the keyboard and/or mouse have been disconnected which results in an automatic freeze requiring a hard boot.
