I only ask this because while I was in China, I went to a computer store, and prices were significanly less for various components I really wanted. I know it's too late to do anything about it, but it's been on my mind since I came back.

I have had a fair amoutn of dealings with a digital imaging company in Japan called Hamamatsu. They have interchanged parts that were in use in Japan with our parts here (mostly imaging and controller boards for CCD cameras connected to microscopes. I assume the same hardware works everywhere, otheriwse companies would have a very difficult time manufacturing them because of costs for different designs. I would be a bit wary of trying to install them unless you know Chinease though b/c it is not easy to translate during an installation... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Most of the stuff we get now days is probably made in China. So Should work fine.

Hi
Most parts should be ok but with power suplies and things that rely on a set voltage there might be a bit of a problem.
The power suplies would be the ones to watch since all countries dont have 240volt and so on power points. Power suplies will probally have a voltage selector anyway.
