I'm thinking of getting one of these. I'd appreciate any feedback you could give me.

The Price looks good, the dot pitch of .26 is a bit grainy, the refresh rate is good.
Try going to yahoo or likewise and punch in the Gateway monitor number and see if any reviews pop up.
The Grade "B" is a little bit troubling to me->>
" Grade B - Monitor is in Great Condition (many vendors would sell these as "A Grade"),
Has slight Cosmetic Blemishes, examples of which are (but not limited to):
Slight Scratches in case
Slight Scratches in the screen
Hairline Crack in Case
Dead Pixel (3 or less)
Missing Control Door
Slight imperfections in the AGAS (Anti-Glare, Anti-Static) Coating
etc."
And just a 90 day warranty, I think I'd jump on the Synchmaster 955df that is posted in S&D.
Free s&h ends tonight though.

Doc is right.. I ordered a Grade B EV700 Gateway 17" monitor from compgeeks a while ago for $87.50 ($17 ship) ..
It was a great deal and I'm glad I did it.. The grade B meant on mine (as far as I can tell anyway).. there are no cosmetic flaws of any kind except the monitor has a redish hue to it all the time. Other than that it works great!
hope that gives you some flavor for what the Grade B might hold (and of course read what doc quoted above). I do like the low shipping rates on compgeeks though.. very reasonable.

I don't want to rain on your parade. I'm glad you are satisfied with your purchase. I'm just curious about how they advertised the monitor you bought.
Did they tell you that the color was screwed up? It just seems to me that if it has "a redish hue to it all the time," they sold you a defective piece of **** that may die any second? Did they tell you that and sell it as-is? If it's suppose to be refurbished (as the link above says that monitor is), I would think something like this would have been fixed. I mean it's not the same as slight scratches, cracks, imperfections or a missing door that has absolutely no impact on whether the monitor works or not. It's defective.
I remember someone dropping their monitor at work and it developed a redish hue. I don't think it lasted very long after that either.

I don't know, maybe I should have tried to return it.. I works fine for me.. it's name brand, has good resolution.. it's not my primary monitor.
I am new to the 'grade b' thing, ie: where it says:
>Slight imperfections in the AGAS (Anti-Glare, Anti-Static) Coating
I assumed this is what my reddish hue was, but I don't know.
Anyone know what a reddish tint to a monitor means? (maybe this is for a new thread)
