I got rogers@home, and I just benchmarked my internet, and it said it was going something like 4700KB/sec down, 471.1KB/sec up. that is really fast, but, barely any pages ever load fast.......

Sysopt and all those pages, SOMETIMES go in at all, normally they hsow the DNL error or whatever, and when I click refresh, it goes in, but very slow again.....

Quite a few pages don't load at all, and that gets really annoying.

I rebooted the computer, didnt help, I unplugged and reconnected the cable modem, no help......

I am using IE 5.0.........

Please help ASAP, I cant seem to do anything for the past couple of days http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Have you tried not going through the proxy? I find that helps sometimes.

That's found in Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings

I have shaw@home and it is generally very fast. Can you post some more information about your setup and the errors that you are getting?

First off, i think you man 4700kbps and 471.1kbps. 4700 kilobytes per second is not possible on a cable modem. Just divide each number by 8 to get your kilobytes.

And some pages load slowly because the server they are on are running slowly. Its not your side, its theres.
