This is for you AOL guys.very often i get that pesky note: "This program has caused an illegal operation and will be shut down" for AOL.I found out that you can open the MS internet explorer and still get the web.Just move the note down were you cant see it ,and minimize AOL!Dont have to sign off!

That happens sometimes to me but I don't have AOL. I have found that works well.

Blind, do you use AOL5? I'm very critical of software, but I've found AOL4 to be stable & error-free. You could "downgrade" to AOL4 w/o losing any of your personal settings, screen names, favorites, mail, etc. Just copy your path/Aolxx/idb & path/Aolxx/organize folders somewhere safe, & recopy back overtop AOL4 after you install that. Then delete AOL5. BTW, you can "autodial" AOL from your desktop shortcut. Just make the command line in the shortcut properties to read as shown:
path/aolxx/waol.exe -u
There's other tricks w/this command like d-clicking Url shortcuts that will auto-dial AOL & open the URL site, open AOL send-mail via the stand-alone IE window, etc.
