Prices always fall, it just depends on how quickly.
I find that to be the most challenging part of buying new hardware...if I buy it today, will it go down in price next week, next month or in 3 months?

I would say that, until some new processors hit the market, the prices of those P III's are going to be fairly stable, maybe falling a buck or two a week, nothing drastic. We usually hear about price cuts at least 2 weeks in advance, and I haven't seen anything.

Yes, until Intel releases something major, i'm also guessing that the prices will stay stable. Although just like dragonB said, the prices WILL fall..Just depends when

Intel announced a major price cut on P4's this week. They said their anticipated sales of these chips this year will fall 50% below expectations. I see lower prices in the near future.

I am going to buy a 1000 mhz P3. If I buy it now will the price drop more than 20 dollars in 2 weeks?
