It's hard for me to understand - on paper rambus seems so logical.

I can't wait for my DDR RAM. That will be some awsome RAM.

What does ANYONE know about DDR RAM???? Everyone keeps saying "Wait till DDR RAM comes out...it will be the best". What do we know about it?

I know for a fact (have read reviews) that Rambus will work loads better with the 840 chipset - the Willamette (sp?). I know, I know, most of you a dead set against Rambus because Intel has to do with it, but I believe that it's time will come in the future, when there is enough speed difference to validate a higher price. I also believe that the price will come down but will still be more expensive than regular RAM.

Don't get me wrong: currently Rambus sucks and is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too expensive. I almost bought a comp with it, but read some reviews first. I had wanted a comp that would have all the "next generation" parts in it. Like what has been said, I read that it is about the same speed wise as PC133. I also read about it not using it's full capabilities on the 820 (what I'd be getting). I realized that it wasn't Rambuses time yet, so I didn't go for it.
