Ive owned or worked with the 103s, 104s, and 105s and they're all great. The 106s is a ATA/66 16x/40x Slot loading DVD drive. Not a bad price either - $79 The 116 is same the 106s except the 106s is slot loading (like a car stereo) and the 116 is tray loading (like a conventional CD-ROM). Slotloading is way easier in my opinion, and theres no tray to break. (Do they make Slot loading CD-RW's? They should http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif). ski_bear 04-02-2001, 03:16 PM thanks a lot thats helped a lot but one more thing how fast is the actuall speed of the dvd-rom and cd-rom for the 106s? thanks ski_bear 04-02-2001, 03:18 PM haha sorry i didn't notice the 16x/40x thing you had there nevermind Thanks for the help jak 04-03-2001, 03:48 PM i dunno i love my aopen 1640 pro, slot loading, aopen has awesome tech support too, a cdr exploded in my drive and they repaired it for free even though it was the cdr's fault i think its bout 120$ now 16x dvd jak SysOpt.com
