I have been extremely pleased with its performance. The K6-2+ is exactly the same chip except that it has 128k on-die cache instead of 256k. I run mine at 550 rock solid and it does go higher than that. Possibly the fastest chip you'll be able to put in a Socket 7 system if your motherboard supports it (BIOS upgrade?). bidzina 03-17-2001, 09:41 AM Thanks http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif But they don't have K6-3+ right now. Just K6-2-450P Which should be mobile but with 2.1V core. Anyway, will check later. RADAR1797 03-17-2001, 05:32 PM bidzina, The link clearly points to a K6-2+. The 'p' series and '+' series are totally different types of K6-2 CPUs. I own a 'p' and bought several 'p' K6-2s and the '+'s are made on the .18 micron process and include 128KB of on-die, L2 cache, the 'p' K6-2's have no L2 cache. -RADAR araaraara 03-25-2001, 08:15 PM k6-2+ or k6-3+ are the best ss7 chips in the world! If you set them up with a good system and tweak them right, you can build one of the fastest ss7 systems around. araaraara: AMD K6-3+ 450mhz @ 600mhz 133mhz FSB RADAR1797 03-25-2001, 08:19 PM **** araaraara, What MB do you have? -RAdAR Richard_Cranium72 03-26-2001, 03:18 AM Same CPU, couple of bucks cheaper when you consider s&h http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum10/HTML/001260.html SysOpt.com
