Is that company in the second post reliable? Cause i'm looking for quailty ram at a good price, and this seems it. I want to put in at least 256 but at that price i'd buy 3.

this looks like the same memory I got and you can get from upgradeplanet (syncmax)(now $58 for 256 4*64 modules) Some were complaining about it not working although it did in mine. A couple were complaining about upgradeplanet. At least when you get syncmax you can check their configurator and know if its been tested in your particular mother board.

My experience with micron ram is that most of the really cheap ram is micron ram chips on another mfg's board. This ram is not as reliable or as compatible nor as high quality as micron ram on a micron board. see crucial.com you pay more, but get the true quality micron ram. Crucial is a division of Micron. True Ram speed is much faster in my experience.
Ram is something that is really hard to trouble shoot as it can emit errors randomly.
so buyer know what you are truly getting...

Mine is true Micron Ram! I checked the part number against the part number on the site. I have ordered plenty of this Ram with different kinds of boards and none of my customers have complained of any problems.

I understand the ram chips are the same, I have some "micron" ram with "MT" on it that I bought from some of the sites that offer micron ram, it has a lifetime warranty, but there is also and alpha and omega symbol on it. This is the mfg of the ram board. Still ok stuff, but does not preform as well as the crucial brand that micron owns. I have has to return several times is all. Just want everyone to know that all "micron" chipped ram is not the same. (an educated consumer is a good consumer)

The most quality-conscious chip manufacturers, like Micron, will put every single chip through an extensive series of tests rather than just checking a sample of parts. They will test chips under normal operating conditions as well as under varying voltages, temperatures, and other "stressful" conditions.

At Micron, we test each and every memory module we manufacture.
Third party vendors are often required to remove the original DRAM manufacturer's name from the chips. This memory is typically referred to as "generic memory."

Am I safe to assume that the memory for the Giga-Byte GA7zx-1 And the GA7zxR are essentially the same? I just wanted to make doubly sure before I purchase. Crucials site does not have the GA7zx-1 listed.
I don't want to have to mess around with returns

I was just there before I posted this, as I said above, they do not have the GA7ZX-1 listed, just the GA7ZXR.
I know this may be a "stupid" question, but I am not that familiar with memory and don't know if there is a difference.
