its an amptron. I did a search on amptron
in the video forum, but this ? got
no replies: "amptron monitors, good or bad, your experience?"
Compare to KDS 17" $149 or Gem 17" $175. Reliability is my main concern. Recommendations please!

I've bought a few monitors lately, do yourself a favor and get the highest quality you can afford..

Hitachi has a neat one for less than $200 shipped.

A friend of mine bought two Amptron monitors 2 years back. One is extrememly blurry and about to give out. The other is ok.

For what that is worth http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I would agree with Richard and get the best one you could afford. A quality monitor really makes a difference.I got a .025 dot pitch Sony several years ago and never regretted paying the price.

I will tell u this and u will find hundreds of reviews holding the same opinion; buy a

KDS Avitron 17TF

it's a 17" monitor using Sony FD Trinitron tube and it's dot pitch is around .24 (i can't remember)

I have it and i Love it. Very good picture quality and nice text. It's cheap too. Grab one asap. It's the best value for money.
