BBA, is this card ANY good.
I see it's not DDR, but SDR. Is that a killer ?
Do you have a link to the $80 unit handy without searching forever ?
thanx

The lowest price on pricewatch is $ 111 +$8.95 UPS Ground for that card. The cheapest price for a Geforce2 mx 32MB is $ 86 + shipping. Which is at www.atacom.com (http://www.atacom.com)

If you buy bulk, the MX can be purchased for around $60-70. Beware some cheap MX cards from smaller manufactures. Some are now suppling MX cards with 64-bit 8ns memory, thus limiting the memory clock to a workable 125 MHz!
The Elsa card is an excellent buy for $104. Elsa is a proven manufacturer of quality video cards, and their proprietary drivers commonly offer better performance and compatibility in higher-end 3D applications than nVidia's reference set.

I have to agree on Elsa.I have the Erazor X,GF256 SDR.It has 5.5ns memory (4x8mb), a 50x50mm heatsink, what makes it easy to replace the fan by a bigger one (or a bigger cooler). It also hasn't got the NVidia reference design,it's smaller so improving airflow.Especially in a small case.
The drivers are great. It includes overclocking,a lot of monitor drivers (many more than Windows's) and you can tune your monitor to the max.I run my monitor @79hz on 1024x768.
Elsa costs a little more but they are a lot nicer also. The one I have still goes for $110,although I had mine new for free http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif .
I think that when I upgrade I'll get an Elsa again,or an Asus Deluxe with 3Dglasses and TV-in/out.
So I think Elsa cards are worth a little more... Actually that's all I meant to say. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/redface.gif
