What is EIDE what does it do and does the ABIIT KA7-100 support it??

Answer2: yes.
Answer1: EIDE is Extended Integrated Drive Electronics. All IDE drives since 1993 or so are EIDE, meaning they got some extra commands in their firmware to do things they couldn't do before. The BIOSes have all had these extra commands as part of their repertoire for about the same length of time (you'll have to look hard to find a drive or mobo where EIDE isn't standard).
