DVD help.

Alright, I want to be able to play DVD movies on both my comp, and my entertainment system. What all would I need besides a DVD-rom? I know I would need a video out, but what else, and what would you all reccomend on a tv-out? There sort of hard to find. Al I need is a tv-out, not a real tv card.

I am running an athlon 500, with a viper ULTRA vid card. Would it just be easier/cheaper to get a viper 2? Would this be wise? Also what speed DVD should I buy?

I know this is alot of questions...sorry im just real curious and interested in DVD. Thanks in advance to everyone who helps.

what kind of dvd are you looking for? some kits have decoder cards in them that has the tv-out for dvd movies. i would say get the fastest dvd you can afford. i saw a pioneer 16 speed dvd the other day in the neighborhood of $120. the reason for getting the faster ones is more games are being put on dvd disks.
