Ok. After implementing DriveConverter32, it says it will reboot into DOS. At this point, I get a blank screen, a blinking cursor and no hdd activity. For quite awhile.
Is this correct?
I disabled Norton AV Auto-Protect, and from scanning during the boot. No incompatible programs listed during the compatibility test.

No. It should immediately go to the converter screen (it looks alot like dos scandisk). It sounds like you have a hang somewhere. Rename autoexec.bat and config.sys, boot, kill ALL backgroup apps except explorer and systray. Use the system configuration utility to make sure that nothing is loading but bare bones Win9x.

MadMax ~ thanks for replying with a quickness.
Tell me what to rename autoexec.bat and config.sys to.
Thanks!

Rename it anything that makes sense or use run/msconfig. disable the lines inthose files.
I never used Converter. No need to answer but why are you using it. Didn't you fdisk to fat32 to start up with.
You got thrown by p.d. didn't you?

Don't be jealous - I'm still driving an old beater instead of that new Mustang.

Ok, here is why people use fat32: On my 500mb hard drive in my P75, I have Windows 98, strife, blood, red alert, and about 4 other programs loaded, and I have 400mb free space.
cobain1crt - A response for the sake of replying?
That was not the question!
