Thanks for the heads UP! Sure cant beat that price, (especially since I had to buy an "emergency" ata66 cable last week and paid $20!!! for it) I like this feature too--Special external connector for external IDE Hard Drive connection-- needless to say, I ordered one...

I just ordered one of those friday. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I have a few questions.

I heard from someone that you can't use Maxtor drives on that card. I also heard that you can only use expensive hard drives like the IBMs. Is this true? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Can i use different sizes of drives?

Indeed this is a sweet price. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I have IBM and Maxtor drives, ive heard IBM licensed the design to Maxtor and basically the drives are identical, (could be flibbidyfloo also) I have used the Maxblast disk on IBM drives if that means anything {probably not} went back and changed my order to 2 cards---just got a 15g IBM ata100-7200 for 115$ paid 150$ for a 15g Maxtor ata66-7200 3 months ago, what do ya mean expensive IBM hard drives??? :-)
