That Darn Sleepmode Key......

So I have a keyboard with a Sleepmode key right above the arrows, directly above the up key. I hate it because I hit it so much when I don't mean to, and then it goes into sleepmode, kicks me off the net and sometimes it restarts my computer. How can I disable that key?

I don't think there's a way to do it. I've tried. Can't find anything.

That is a possiblity. Carefully dismantle the keyboard physically remove the key. Problem solved. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Maybe there is something in the Control Panel you can fiddle with.

I think in the power managment thing you can change the settings so that your computer doesnt go into sleep mode at all.

Just like lilriceboi said. Go to power management in the control panel and disable sleep mode. That should take of things.

Well I have disabled it before and time and time again, but it still does it. It won't disable through that thing in the control panel. How ghetto would my keyboard look with a few keys missing? and would it really help me stop hitting that key?
