I just bought a new laptop and want to transfer all my data AND PROGRAMS to the new laptop. Is there any program to do this? I heard there is a way (in DOS) to transfer with a printer cable. Any clue?

Andy_L 07-07-2000, 04:43 PM You can network with Windoze using a direct cable connection and a serial or parallel null modem cable, which you can build or buy from a comp store (serial will take literally forever, from expirience) Or, if you plan on putting your laptop on a network, you could buy two pcmcia nics and use a crossover cable, which would be MUCH faster, and you may be able to make up the cost of the second nic if you are selling the old laptop.
