While defraging my hard drive, A thru K partitions, after each partition was completed, it gave me a mesg that 'Image 32' was missing. Can someone tell me what 'Image 32 is and is it something that I should be concerned about, and how do I get it back? Do you need more info about my machine? Let me know,
Gayle

Can you give us the exact error message?

I am sorry about that, I know better, this is the exact error msg:

'cannot find the file 'Image 32' (or one of its componets.) make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are avilable'

Thanks, Gayle

Sounds like your using Norton speed disk to defrag your drives. After defragging, the Norton Image utility likes to take an image of the FAT table that it can use to restore any missing files.
If this is the case, try opening up Norton utilities and running the image utility manually on a drive and see what happens.

'Image 32' in this case appears to be in reference to a program of some sort. Apparently your defrag program also checks that the list of programs your computer stores is valid.

And it returned that one of your programs is no longer present. This is really nothing to fret about, but you can rid yourself of this message for the future.

The best way of getting rid of it is by opening up your Registry (possibly in RegEdit) and doing a search for "Image 32" (no quotes).

Then just delete any references to this program (including the main key that references to this). If you find that it is in reference to a program that you do, in fact, have, then just simply change the location to where it currently is located at.

if you have Norton speed disk, then be sure to check out what Dave_H said first, before doing this, as it also could potentially be what the error is meaning.
