Best CD-Rom Drives and Any Reviews Of Creative Labs 52Xmx CD-Rom Model 5220.

Hi,

I want to buy a CD-Rom for audio extraction of music from CD to my CDRW (Plex 8/4/32A) anyone know which CD-Roms are best for this e.g. I hear HP models are sllloooowwwww for audio extraction and make the copied music sound flat.

I'm also looking for reviews concerning the performance of the Creative 52Xmx CD-Rom (model 5220) as reading the user forums here I see it is not well rated - but the model people seem to talk about is the 52X 5330? The one I want reviews for has four buttons on the front with the 1st (left most) being a red 'Turbo' button.

you will find the best reproduction of your cd's if you put them onto your hard drive first and then burn them..even the best cd at audio extraction can miss a beat and you have a song with a burp in it whereas putting them on the drive loses nothing and your drive is faster by far than the cd you are extracting from.
