At the brick and mortar Office Max's. they have 700 MB CD-Rs in 50 pack spindles. After rebate, they come to about $11.00. Godd enough deal, so I bought them. I have never heard of the copmpany that made them, so I was hoping someone had some info on this brand, the OKie Corporation (Prime Periphials).

Best Buy had the same CDR's on sale about 6 months ago. $19 + $10 rebate = $9 total cost.
They work great. I went through 3 spindles and only had 2 or 3 coasters...I still have around 20 of them. (saving them for 80 min needs.)

Underclocked, do you have the URl for that site? I tried www.zones.com (http://www.zones.com) and got a job site, and www.zone.com (http://www.zone.com) is the gaming site. Thanks.

<Sorry, my bad - didn't look close enough at the zones site. Found it>

Pacific Digital - I had one 10-pack of those CDs. Only about 2 actually allowed a full burn - the rest would only allow maybe a max of 100MB of data before reporting an error of some kind. It wasn't buffer underrun either - the CD writing program is very good at preventing them, and the buffer percentage meter never dropped below 98%. From my experience, I don't think Pacific Digital CD-Rs are too good.

Personally, I have had good luck with the Pacific Digitals. I've gone through three coasters with only a couple of coasters, so I trust them. They seem to work especially good as media for backup PSX copies. They have the best color for the job. Obviously, not everyone's experience is the same, and I think some media just do not like certain setups.

Pacific Digitals aren't so great :/ You have to be VERY careful not to scratch the TOP of the CD. They use some kind of metallic coating that scratches off easily, making that part of the CD no good. I'm using Gigastorage 80 min CD's right now and haven't had a problem yet.

OOPS, price went up to 14.xx!!

I've never used them so can't say anything about the quality. Know some kids here that will have fun with them in any event.
Was there looking for bargains (you might check out the refurbed Epson 640 printer for 29.97)
