http://www.adaptec.com/products/overview/ecdc.html

If you have an older version you should be able to upgrade it cheaper. THere is no demo as far as I know.

Its a fine program...surprised me...I could use its full potential from the start...(I have alot of probs with the software I purchase, im a great reader with semigood comprehension, yet these software creators are way beyond my level it seems, when it comes to my actually makin it work)

No demo available, no cheap upgrade either. If you don't need the Deluxe version ($99), you can get the OEM version for about $15-30 on the Web. I did a search and got mine for $30, but later saw a site that had it for $15. I'm real pleased with the OEM version. I borrowed a friend's Deluxe version to try before I got the OEM version, but I found I don't need the extras that come with Deluxe.

This retail product (Adapt(not!)ec EZCD Coasterizer 4.0 Deluxe piece-of-crud) has got to be THE worst software buying decision in my life!

And now for how I really feel...

I was using 3.5b happily (after learning the hard way that a & c were wastes of time) on various systems at home & work on Win95(ab&c)/98/98SE boxes with Yamaha CR100, CRW4416 & CRW6416 scsi burners and Plextor 8x burners and thought the extra features in 4 Deluxe were things I personally needed, nevermind the office. I could not have been more wrong.

I tried using that hunk-of-junk with my 4416 & 6416 drives on Win98/98SE/2KPro platforms and only went from bad to worse to what the **** am I doing?!

I went back to 3.5b and while I still like and utilize the sheer handiness of DirectCD, 4 will never be installed on a machine of mine again.
