It's from Comp-U-Plus. I've dealt with them before (bought my 5x/32x Encore DVD from them) I was very pleased.

Same here. I bought mine not too long ago for $85 and I thought I was getting the card at a rock bottom price http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't think this is the newer xgamer/mp3+ generation card. It won't have a S/PDIF out.

According to the page it is a live value.

The highest cost on Pricewatch is about 55 US
It is a good deal, but it is not to be confused with a regular sound blaster live.

I'm pretty sure I'm right. I don't see anything in the specs on a live! value that refers to a S/PDIF out, but I do see it listed on the mp3+ and xgamer cards. Then again I've never actually used any of these cards so I could be wrong.

Just to clarify--This card does have digital out on the back. Right? My SB Live value only has 4 phono jacks on the back. I just obtained some Altec ACS 56's with digital in and I am looking for something to utilize it.

Does anyone ever read? This is from the page that Gradius linked to. Right there plain as daylight.

With digital output. 256 Voice Supports 4Point Surround Sound

The original Live values did not have digital out but the newer ones do from what I have read in the past. It is a good deal but for $55 total cost I could buy it local.

I read quite well thank you. How the hell do you think I read the **** post? I also have had experiences with "Oh that's a typo." So I went to Creative's page to investigate and could find nothing there regarding digital out save for the Livedrive. Now, based on my reading of some of the replies, it seems that some Sysopt members have ordered the above mentioned card. So....... in order to verify the digital out, I thought maybe someone who had ordered it would say "sure does" or "gosh it doesn't." Maybe I should have made this clearer in my reply. And once again, for the record, I am quite literate thank you.

I think the confusing part is due to creative Labs trying to get the last dollar out of people.some older cards dont have newer ones do but unless who sells you the card says it does i wouldnt buy it,or someone orders the card and says yes it does it very confusing because creative labs add to it is this makeing any cents i doubt it lol.

I think you took my sarcasm a bit too serious. I did not say you or anyone else here was illiterate.

I have 2 SBL! Values, one retail, one OEM.
The retail one that I bought about 2 years ago has no digital out, but has a digital connector to the CD/DVD-rom drive (2pin)

The OEM one i bought about 6 months ago has Digital out, but had no 2 pin digital connector to the CD/DVD-rom drive on the inside.
I dont really know what the digital connector on the inside is supposta do, but its there.

The SBL!V is the ONLY part I havent had to upgrade since I got it 2 years ago.
