I'm searching for the Sysopt thread dealing with freeware that plants a registry entry so they can track your surfing. It comes with CuteFTP as well, and I remember lots of us here found the entry in their registries. What is the name of that program? Was it "Aura"? Can someone find the thread? Thanks...

You can try http://www.grc.com/optout and see if he's still offering his "optout" program for free. That prog finds all those files and registries, if that's what you're looking for. If not, try a search here for "advert.dll" and that should find the threads for ya!
The name is Aureate. Have a look at: http://grc.com/optout.htm http://grc.com/oo/spyware.htm
