Help needed urgently?!!................

Hi,i'm trying to update my macafee virus scan software and after downloading the DAT file to my desktop,(as i've always done!)i click on it to install and i recieve the following message:

C:\windows\desktop\sdat4084.exe is not a valid win32 application

Anyone know what this is and how to sort it out............Thanks

sounds like it may be corrupted so try downloading it again.

I have downloaded and varified that the download was good..Then I zipped it for you to make sure that it the file inside shouldn't get corrupted on you during the download.

Hope that fixes you up...I will be deleting this file in a couple of days as I'm getting low on file space on my webserver

Snowdude is screamin diligent on things, cant ask for more from someone that can assist...maximum respect!!

What I do is connect via FTP and make sure you download the dat update in Binary mode..Less chance of corruption that way.
