30 pin memory anyone?

I have an old 486 laying around and am thinking of giving it to my sister. It only has 8mb ram, and am thinking of upgrading it.

You might look in the junk shops and ask if they have any scrap SB16/32 sound cards laying around. Some of these had 30 pin SIMMs on them to increase the sound RAM.

Otherwise, they aren't manufactured anymore that I know of. Also, many of them have been turned into keychains along with the olde 256 RAM SIMMS.

I don't know where you live but if it is anywhere near Dallas then go to first Saturday. They always have that kind of stuff and I'm sure it is dirt cheap.
