I have an Epson 740 printer and was looking for some inkjet cartridges. Has anyone used the generics? They are priced $20 less than the Epson name-brand ones.

I know, "You get what you pay for!" But if they are reasonable quality I would buy some just for printing stupid stuff.

Thanks,

Greg

I bought some "generics" for my HP560 a while back. The cartridges didn't hold as much ink as the HP factory units and the colors - particularly the reds - were definitely off.

I have never been happy with the generics, but to each his own.

You have to use this printer at least once a day to keep it from clogging up which of course I know you are doing that. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
The place I bought it from doesn't sell
Epson refill because of the risk of clogging or ruining the printhead on the printer itself, instead they sell new cartridges for it.
Look around and you'll see what I mean.
