I think he's asking how to make a CD-R that can be booted same as harddrive. Came across info on this some time ago, never tried it myself. Here's the links

incolor.inetnebr.com/guardian/boot-cd.shtml (http://incolor.inetnebr.com/guardian/boot-cd.shtml)

Hope this helps, let me know. Didn't re-read it today, but when I did it sounded like a lot of hassle, maybe better techniques by now.

Is there a way to copy the .img file from a NT4 cd and use it?

I tried to make bootable cd's before but they would only get half the way thru boot up and error.

Someone put it out in simple laymans terms and give a detailed procedure!

The only bootable cd I can make so far is a copy of NT4!

Here's a good site - but from scratch its difficult. EZ CD Creator will do it in seconds as well as other buning programs. This site has info on howto from scratch as well as with programs that do it automatically for you like EZCD.
