Thanks, JC wtp 07-02-2000, 01:24 AM guess this will help http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.whatis.com/amr.htm wtp Win_98 07-03-2000, 08:52 PM Avoid it at all cost my friend, onboard are alway the worst of the worst Cheaper then the cheapest winmodem say 4.99 No different from any other generic pc100 motherboard namely m571 amptron 9000 etc that has AMR You end up disabling it anyway, or it doesn't work right and goes wacko and refuse to work. It a big headache. Audio Modem Riser, funny name huh it requires onboard soundcard to work properly too. I recommend you go with DFI Quality and high performance. Their motherboard support a wide range of cpu including Athlon, Duron, PIII and Celeron. Yes all their motherboard uses Dip Switches to set cpu voltage, multiplier, and FBS. It can't get any easier, beside ABIT is Biased and refused to support K6-2 So I don't like them They were going to then dropped as if K6-2 is going to die, or so hoping AMD would go out of business. Shame on them. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif wtp 07-03-2000, 09:34 PM win_98, i don't think Abit wants them to go out of business, Abit makes motherboards for AMD, such as the KA-100 (for the athlon).. etc. wtp SysOpt.com
